Sudheer Kumar Jalagam, an NRI hailing from a remote village, Venkataramapuram, in Suryapet District in Telangana, is known for all his social activities in Kodada constituency in Telangana. He introduced many US models to Telangana and worked rigorously for social upliftment causes. He has been taking the farmer's and local people’s issues up with the ruling BRS government and taking up some very prominent and pressing problems with the government. He has been the go-to person for the locals in Kodada to express their issues.
He is also the one who introduced Kodada to Mobile Sh’E’ Toilet, a first-of-its-kind in India, and received appreciation from many leaders and officers. He introduced mini libraries, solved issue-based politics, and more. He was also successful in the allotment of the Mini Tank Bund. Even in the field of education, he made many contributions to the development of the public.
Having been a member of the TRS party since its inception in 2001, the NRI now wants to contest for an MLA seat from Kodada. Starting from the Siddipet by-elections in 2001–02 to the recent Munugode 2022 by-election, he spent some time preparing for the party candidate’s win. On KTR’s suggestion, Sudheer withdrew his nomination for the 2018 MLA elections from Kodada, and now the NRI has informed us that he wants to contest as MLA in the 2023 elections if given a ticket in the BRS; otherwise, he likes to approach other parties for a ticket. If nothing works out, Sudheer wants to contest independently.
