Actor Vijay's TVK Party Opposes 'One Nation, One Election'

Tamil actor Vijay's political party, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (TVK), has publicly opposed the 'One Nation, One Election' initiative proposed by the central government. The party believes that this initiative would undermine the autonomy of states and concentrate excessive power in the hands of the central government.

TVK also expressed its strong opposition to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medical admissions. The party views NEET as a discriminatory barrier that prevents students from Tamil Nadu, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds, from accessing medical education.

In addition to these key issues, TVK outlined its support for a bilingual policy, emphasizing the importance of preserving Tamil language and culture while opposing the imposition of Hindi. The party also criticized the ruling DMK party in Tamil Nadu, accusing them of making false promises to gain power.

TVK's stance on these issues reflects its commitment to protecting the rights and interests of Tamil Nadu and its people. The party's opposition to 'One Nation, One Election' and NEET, along with its support for a bilingual policy, has resonated with many in the state who are concerned about the potential erosion of regional autonomy and cultural identity.
