It is established that Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu had been serving his 14-day remand term that was passed by the Vijayawada Additional Judge. He is currently in Rajahmundry central jail.
Meanwhile, CBN's legal team didn't stay quiet and they filed for a house arrest grant instead of the remand term in the central jail. His legal team toiled hard for the same at the Vijayawada ACB court.
The ACB court held hearing on the same for two days and there was an elongated sequence of arguments between Chandrababu's team and the legal team representing the CID.
Incidentally, the ACB court has passed the judgement just now and they have announced that CBN's house arrest plea has been rejected. This comes as a rude shock to the TDP chief.
Naidu was hopeful that he would get the permission for house arrest and might escape the remand term at the central jail but that isn't to be the case as his plea has been rejected.
Naidu will now have to remain in jail till he gets a bail. Incidentally, the government is lining up 7-10 cases against him, including the inner ring road scam, AP fiber grid scam and others.
