Indian Election nears an End, as Seventh Phase Begins Tomorrow

As the world's largest polling marathon draws to a close, the Election Commission of India gears up for the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for tomorrow. With polling set to take place in 57 Parliamentary Constituencies across 8 States/Union Territories, including Bihar, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, preparations are in full swing.

Simultaneously, elections will also be held for 42 Assembly Constituencies in Odisha, adding to the magnitude of this electoral exercise. Spread across these constituencies are a staggering 10.06 crore electors, served by over 1.09 lakh polling stations meticulously arranged to ensure accessibility and efficiency.

This final phase marks the culmination of a grand electoral spectacle that commenced on the 19th of April. Over the course of six phases, a total of 486 Lok Sabha seats were contested, covering polling across 28 States/Union Territories. Throughout this mammoth endeavor, the Election Commission has overseen proceedings with meticulous care, ensuring smooth and peaceful polling across the nation.
