KCR starts Haritha Haaram celebrations. Telangana is celebrating Haritha Haaram and CM KCR started the 9th phase of Haritha Haaram. As a part of the celebrations, KCR reached Tummaluru village of Rangareddy district and planted a Maha Gani plant. Later he examined the photo exhibition on Haritha Haaram.
In the meanwhile, The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has proposed to take up one crore of plantations in 2023-24 under Telangana Ku Haritha Haram (TKHH). It plans to come up with plantations at lakes, educational institutions, open spaces, hospitals, graveyards, colonies, parks, playgrounds, and jail campuses. It also plans to increase greenery at central medians and at water fountains, traffic junctions / Islands.
Telangana turned into the country's greenest state thanks to the initiative taken by CM KCR and the ruling BRS party. As a part of the Haritha Haaram, the government has decided to provide free entry to all urban parks in the state today. Hyderabad has been recognized as the Tree City of the World by Haritaharam and the Center for Science and Environment has given Telangana first place in increasing greenery. Telangana also achieved first place in NITI Aayog’s Integrated Development Goals. World Green City Award, Hyderabad has received worldwide recognition as a biodiverse city.
