Finally, the suspense ended and the BRS rebels Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao who flew to Delhi and met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced that they will be joining the Congress. The duo's joining date in Congress is out.
They will be joining the Congress on 2 July 2023 in a huge rally at Khamman. Inside talk is around 35 BRS leaders will also join Congress in the same Khammam. Ponguleti said the meeting will be bigger than what CM KCR addressed and Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will also attend the meeting.
In Delhi, Ponguleti and Jupally met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and former party chief Rahul Gandhi in the presence of general secretary (organization) KC Venugopal and Telangana Congress chief A Revanth Reddy before announcing their joining in the party.
In the midst of the latest development, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Seetakka added that they have invited the old congress leaders from another party to join the Congress ahead of the elections. He expressed that Congress will come to power and will not ignore or neglect people like KCR after coming to power. Seetakka said small differences will be there everywhere but everyone in the party will work for the aspirations of Telangana people.
