KCR gives fillip to Old City Metro. The people of Old City are often accused of not receptive to the changes and the developmental activities. Many accuse the Muslims of conservative and not receptive and often oppose the construction of roads, flyovers and metros in their place. Many cite this as the reason why Hyderabad metro services are not extend to the Old City.
Now, all this myth is proven wrong as CM KCR gave fillip to Old City metro and his move is welcomed by all the residents of the Old City and MIM party. CM KCR directed the Metro Administration Department to begin process for Metro Rail Project in Old City. The proposed Metro Rail will start from the MGBS bus-stand and go along Mir Alam Mandi up to Shalibanda Crossroads till Falaknuma. The Metro stations are proposed at Charminar, Shalibanda, Shamsheergunj, Jangammet and Falaknuma.
