Is Congress surging ahead in Telangana? Right after the sensational victory in Karnataka where the Congress decimated the ruling BJP in the elections, the party is going belligerent in Telangana. The cadre and leadership is of the opinion that a little bit of effort could wrest the state from the BRS party which is having an iron-like grip under the leadership of CM KCR.
Congress victory also made dissidents in the BRS look up to the Congress and few leaders like Ponguleti Srinivasulu Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao joined and many more are planning their strategies for negotiating with the party's high command. Now inside talk is Congress got an internal survey by Sunil Kanugolu of Mindtree Analytics.
The survey results are out and the report has been handed over to the Congress general secretary PC.Venugopal. According to the survey it is coming out that Congress is surging but it has still a long way to win the absolute majority. As per the survey, the seats are categorized into three and with Category A comprising 41 seats, Category B 42 seats, and Category C 36 seats.
Congress is sure to win Category A seats while it needs strong effort to win a few of them in Category B. It cannot win even a single seat in Category C. So at present Congress is expected to win 41 seats but it needs a lot of hard work to do to get the simple majority of 60 seats.
