The Central Election Commission has sped up the process of the coming general elections in Telangana and here is an interesting update on the possible arrival of the election notification.
The CEC has completed the appointment of central election officers for each of the districts in Telangana. Returning officers were also appointed by the CEC earlier.
In this context, the latest updates are suggesting that the CEC will be issuing the notification for the coming elections in Telangana in October. There will be a 3-day tour of CEC officers in Telangana earlier in October and shortly after, the election notification will be issued and the election code will come to effect subsequently.
At this rate, Telangana could be going to polls by the November or December. An affirmative update on the same will be out once the notification is released.
The leading parties in the state, BRS, Congress, and BJP are already laying out their blueprints for the Telangana elections now. BRS will start as the favorite to win the polls, say reports.
