Finally official clarity on Telangana elections

A week or so ago, there was a report pertaining to Telangana politics that there could be a delay in Telangana general elections and it was claimed that the state could not go to polls in 2023 and instead head for elections in March or April next year.

As a result, there was some confusion about the elections schedule in Telangana. But cut to now, Telangana state election commission officer has confirmed that the state will go to polls as per plan and there is no change in the same.

It is officially confirmed that there is no truth in the reports that the Telangana elections are getting postponed. The polls are set to be held in November or December this year and there will be no exemptions in this regard.

The central election commission will be touring Telangana on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of October and the final election schedule will be announced shortly after that.

The checking of the EVMs has been completed already. A total of 15 lakh new votes have been added in Telangana while 3 lakh votes have been removed from the list.

A whopping 6.99 lakh youngsters have registered for voter card this year and this could be a pretty substantial development in the build up for the polls.

The end point is that Telangana elections are well on track and they are set to go on as per the schedule. There is no truth in the rumors about the postponement of the polls.
