For a while now, the governor of Telangana, Tamilisai has been at loggerheads with the chief minister of the state, KCR. They have been at war on the public forum with the governor rejecting most of the reformative measures taken by the CM and his cabinet.
Now, in a sensational new development, the governor has rejected the candidature filed by BRS in the governor quota MLC seats which were referred by the KCR-led cabinet.
Incidentally, the governor has rejected the candidatures of Dasoju Sravan and Kurra Satyanarayana for the MLC posts. She has declined the request to elect them to legislative council despite getting referred by the cabinet.
Usually, governors don't hold on this strong about their quota of MLC candidates. They approve whatever names the state cabinet refers. However that hasn't happened with Telangana governor Tamilisai now as she has bluntly rejected the proposal of the Telangana cabinet with regard to Telangana MLC polls.
