For a while now, there have been a series of reports that YS Sharmila's YSRTP will be merging in Telangana Congress sooner than later. Sharmila even met with Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi to discuss the same.
Now, the YSRTP appears to have set a new deadline for the Congress party to approve the merger proposal that has been in front of them by Sharmila.
Sharmila is done playing the waiting game and she wants the Congress party to convey their decision at the earliest. She is said to be of the intention of waiting till the 30th of this month.
If the Congress Party stalls their decision any further and keeps Sharmila waiting, then she is ready to drop the whole plan and is preparing to contest in all 119 constituencies across Telangana.
So, the ball is in Congress's court now and it has to be seen what will be their final decision. With Telangana going for polls in two months from now, it is high time that Sharmila and Congress come to a mutual agreement sooner than later.
