Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan is in Hyderabad to promote his Republic Day release, 'Ayalaan'. The sci-fi fantasy entertainer, involving an alien-human interaction as the mainstay, was released in Tamil for Pongal. After doing well commercially at the Tamil box office, the kids-friendly comedy entertainer is out to woo the Telugu audience from January 26 with a "theme park experience".
"There are 4500 VFX shots in the movie, whose visual effects are bigger than what 'Robot' and '2.0' possessed. This is an ambitious film that has been made on a less-than-expected budget," says the 'Mahaveerudu' actor. Seen in recent years in films like 'Prince' and 'Varun Doctor', Sivakarthikeyan says that 'Ayalaan' is a fantasy superhero subject that will surely amuse children. "The scenes between the alien and human (the male lead), the interactions between them, and the core point of the movie are first-of-its-kind," the actor says, hinting that the sequel to 'Ayalaan' will be an even bigger project.
With entertainment as the mainstay, 'Ayalaan' boasts playful, enjoyable music by the legendary AR Rahman. "It was my dream to have him set tunes to my film," Sivakarthikeyan says, expressing the confidence that 'Ayalaan' will join the list of successful Telugu-dubbed Tamil movies like 'Love Today', 'Vidudhala' and 'Abhimanyudu'.
Starring Rakul Preet Singh as the heroine, the film is directed by R Ravikumar and produced by KJR Studios' J Rajesh. Released in Telugu by Ganga Entertainments, its music is by AR Rahman.
