Rapaka Varaprasad, a Razole MLA, made shocking remarks a month ago claiming that fake votes also helped him win the poll. He declared that his village, Chinthalamori, had a number of fale votes. 15 to 20 persons used to vote 5 to 10 times each, and his triumph was also aided by these votes. On social media, a video of MLA Rapaka Varaprasada Rao's remarks has gone viral. Npw, Yenumula Venkatapathi Raju of Sakhinetipalli sent an email to the Chief Electoral Officer complaining regarding the issue.
State Chief Election Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena responded to this. Collector Himanshu Shukla was instructed to investigate the election of MLA Rapaka Varaprasada Rao and submit a report within a week.
It is to be seen what report the collector would submit and if Rapaka will land in any trouble again.
