It has been made official that BJP National President JP Nadda will be watching 'The Kerala Story' on Sunday evening at 8:45 pm. He has cleverly chosen the poll-bound Karnataka to do the same. Nadda will be visiting the Garuda Mall's INOX in Bengaluru to watch the Hindi-language outing.
This comes just two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi endorsed the Bollywood movie at a public rally by suggesting that the Congress party has been trying to sabotage its Box-Office potential owing to its vote-bank politics.
Modi and Nadda want to rally Hindu support for their party ahead of the Karnataka Assembly elections. Karnataka has a large saffron population. They want to tap into the support of Hindus by raking up 'The Kerala Story', which is about the radicalization of Hindu and Christian girls by extremist Muslim outfits in Kerala.
Meanwhile, 'The Kerala Story' has been boycotted by stakeholders in Tamil Nadu. There has been stiff resistance to the screening of the film in the DMK-ruled State from civil society groups.
