Karnataka elections: Vox predicts the end of BJP's reign in Karnataka; dull future ahead in South India

Karnataka's Assembly election voting today came to a calm conclusion. In total, 113 seats are required to form the government in Karnataka, which has 224 assembly seats. The BJP and the Congress faced off head-to-head in the state.
Many exit poll findings were just released a short while ago. The VOX determined that Congress has the advantage over BJP this time in Karnataka by averaging the results of all these surveys. We forecast that the Congress will win between 107 and 119 seats, while the BJP is expected to win between 78 and 90 seats and the JDS between 23 and 29 seats.
If the surveys are accurate, the BJP will have no control over the southern Indian states other than Karnataka, which is the only southern state where it now has power.
The outcome of this poll could also indicate how the BJP will fare in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The BJP will undoubtedly struggle to compete in the national elections if all of the south Indian states vote against the party.
