The India Today-Axis My India exit poll survey predicts that BJP will win 16 seats, the Congress is likely to win 3, and coastal Karnataka will likely give the BJP a 50% vote share to the Congress' 40%.
In Greater Bengaluru, the BJP is predicted to win 13 to 15 seats, the Congress 16 to 18 seats, and other candidates 3 seats, according to an IndianTV poll.
TimesNow and India Today share the same report that says the BJP will win 16 seats, the Congress will take three, and there will be no other victories. BJP will receive 50% of the vote, Congress will receive 40%, while the remaining 10% will go to other candidates.
However, ZEE Matrize, JanKiBaat, P-Marq-Republic predict a different result.
ZEE Matrize predicts that Congress may cross the majority mark with 114 seats. The majority mark is 113 in the 224-seat Karnataka Assembly, where will get 79-94 seats, Congress 103-118 and JDS 25-33.
According to JanKiBaat, BJP will bag 88-98 seats, Congress to get 99-109, JDS 14-24.
P-Marq-Republic predicts BJP to get 85-100 seats, Congress to get 94-108 and JD(S) 24-32, whereas others will get 2-6 seats.
In the southern state, many polls have indicated support for the Congress.
It should be remembered that since 1985, Karnataka has not chosen an incumbent administration to continue in office. If the survey is accurate, the BJP will be the first political group to reverse the trend in more than three decades.
