Recently, Janata Dal (United) President Lalan Singh reportedly threw a party for thousands of commoners. It was termed a meat-rice party. The revellers thought that they were eating healthy meat.
However, if Bihar BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha is to be believed, dog meat was served to the public. Sinha has demanded that a probe should be launched.
As per the BJP leader, several people in Munger, where the feast was held, are feeling that hundreds of stray dogs have gone missing in recent days. This is only anecdotal.
If stray dog meat was indeed served to people, it could give rise to potential allegations that unhealthy food which otherwise wouldn't be permitted to be consumed was served to unsuspecting cadres and the general public. Dog lovers could also demand the arrest of the host. But will the charge be investigated at all?
