Actress-politician Khushbu Sundar lashed out at DMK Speaker Shivaji Krishnamurthy saying many DMK leaders like him have insulted women and it has become their habit. Tagging CM Stalin, Khushbu wrote on twitter, “The crass comments of this habitual offender shows the political culture prevalent in DMK. There are many like him in that rut. Abusing women, passing lewd cheap comments about them goes unchecked and is probably rewarded with more opportunities. CM @mkstalin (sic).:
She questioned if the CM will accept such statements about women from his family? “Your cadres will pelt stones and create havoc. What you don’t realise is he not only insults me, but you & a great leader like your father (the late M Karunanidhi). . The more space you provide him, the more political space you will lose. Your party is becoming a safe haven for uncouth hooligans. It's such a shame,” she added.
She said that if he is given as much freedom, the party will face all the difficulties. She said DMK should not be a place for such leaders. Meanwhile, Khushboo has been appointed as a member of the National Commission for Women.
Earlier Krishnamurthy made sensational comments about Khushbu called her "she is an old character".
Krishnamurthy had also stoked a row over his controversial statements about TN Governor R N Ravi and was suspended from the party, before it was revoked after he apologised. PTI SA SA ROH
