Addressing a public meeting yesterday, Telangana CM KCR made an interesting comment in the pretext of the real estate trends in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
"Back in the day, they used to say you can buy 5 acres in Telangana with the money you get from selling 1 acre in Andhra Pradesh. But today, you can buy 50 acres in AP if you sell one acre in Telangana" KCR said.
KCR's comment drew backlash from the YCP troops as the state cabinet minister Gudivada Amarnath countered the same in the media briefing today.
"What KCR said is false. If you sell 1 acre in Vizag, you can buy 150 acres in Telangana. The real estate boom is for real in AP. The land rates in Vizag are pretty substantial. These TRS people think Hyderabad constitutes for all of Telangana. One developed city doesn't mean the entire state is progressing" Amarnath said.
