The upcoming Global Investment Summit in Visakhapatnam is set to take place for two days starting March 3rd, and the Andhra Pradesh government is thoroughly repared for it. Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his entourage have already arrived in the port city, which is fully equipped to receive investors and guests. The government has also extended invitations to national media representatives to cover the event, and the Chief Minister himself gave exclusive interviews to them.

However, it is noteworthy that the government did not hold any press conference in Vijayawada or provide information to local media. Instead, the information about the event was shared with the media in Visakhapatnam but not in Vijayawada. In addition, the government did not invite journalists from Vijayawada to cover the event, but instead offered passes to journalists who made their own way to Visakhapatnam. This approach is different from how the TDP government organized two summits in Visakhapatnam, where journalists from Hyderabad and Vijayawada were accommodated in luxurious hotels and treated like royal guests.

It is being speculated that Jagan Mohan Reddy did not deem it necessary to give preferential treatment to journalists in Andhra Pradesh, as they could be inclined towards the TDP and thus not impartial. Hence, many feel that they are being shown the right place since Jagan already believes that anyway pro-TDP media will showcase this as a failure.
