Macherla YCP MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy was caught on camera destroying the EVM at a polling booth in his constituency and this has become a black mark for the YCP unit.
On May 13th, during the polling process, Macherla MLA and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) candidate Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy broke into a polling booth and destroyed an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM).
The incident occurred at the Palvaigate polling center in Rentachintala mandal. Eyewitnesses report that Reddy entered the booth, proceeded to damage the EVM. His followers stopped a polling agent who attempted to intervene. The entire incident was captured on the booth's webcam, which was subsequently reviewed during a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe.
This incident has caught the attention on social media and it has quickly earned backlash as this incident happened at an official capacity with Pinnelli being the sitting MLA.
