Actor Prakash Raj recently shared a meme with this caption: "First picture coming from the Moon by Vikram Lander." The same has been interpreted by Netizens as a mockery of the ISRO's prestigious mission.
The news is that a police complaint has been filed against the 'KGF 2' and 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actor for his tweet on the Chandrayaan-3 mission. As per ANI, some Hindu organizations have demanded strict action against Prakash Raj for insulting the national mission. The complaint was filed in Bengaluru.
On his part, Prakash Raj has said that he was only making a light-veined reference. "Hate sees only Hate. I was referring to a joke of the Armstrong times... Celebrating our Kerala Chaiwala. Which Chaiwala did the TROLLS see? If you don't get a joke, then the joke is on you (sic)," he wrote, asking his critics to grow up.
Reacting to Prakash's lame defence, a Twitter user wrote that the actor has admitted that he was "celebrating the stereotyping of every Kerala person", thereby giving more material to "racist trolls in foreign countries to further harass the Malayalis and Indians in general."
