Telangana wins five international awards. The state of Telangana ever since its formation is making rapid strides developing on all fronts under the able leadership of CM KCR and the BRS party. According to the latest, Telangana won five prestigious international awards.
Green Organisation based in the UK established in 1994 in London announced the awards for 2023. The state of Telangana is conferred with five green apple awards and here are the following.
Mozzam-Jahi Market (in the Heritage category – for excellent restoration and reuse, Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge (in the Bridge category for the unique design), Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat Building (in the aesthetically designed Office/workspace building category), Integrated Command Control Centre of the state police (in the unique Office category), Yadagirigutta Temple (in the excellent Religious structures category).
This is for the first time, any structure or building from India won the green apple award and Telangana created history by winning not one but five green apple awards. Arvind Kumar, MA&UD Secretary of Telangana speaking to scribes shared that Telangana won the prestigious awards thanks to the support of the National Institute of Urban Management (NIUM).
He said the department applied for awards, on behalf of the State Government of Telangana for the ‘International Green Apple Awards for Beautiful Buildings’ award under the Urban & Real Estate Sector.
