HYDRAA gives details of demolitions carried out so far

The HYDRAA today said that, so far, it has conducted demolition drives across 26 locations in Hyderabad. A total of 262 illegal constructions were demolished, it said. Below are the specific details.

Land Recovery: 111.72 acres of land were recovered.

Targeted Areas: Demolitions focused on Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zones.

Notable Demolitions:

* Ramnagar Manemma Street: 3 structures
* Appa Cheruvu in Gaganpahad: 14 structures
* Ameenpur Pedda Cheruvu: 24 structures
* Sunnam Cheruvu: 42 structures
* Katval Cheruvu at Dundigal: 13 structures

Land Recovery:

* Ameenpur: 51 acres
* Sunnam Cheruvu in Madhapur: 10 acres

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that floods in Hyderabad are primarily caused by the encroachment of ponds, lakes, and canals. "Unfortunately, the poor are disproportionately affected by these natural disasters. We will not tolerate such illegal activities and will take decisive action against encroachers, including imprisonment," he added.

The Telangana government has also announced that September 17 will be celebrated as the Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam starting this year.
