In Tollywood, big heroes always command a charisma and cult following of their own. This has been the trend right from the days of NTR and ANR. For the last few years, despite their age Balayya and Chiranjeevi have been competing strongly. In this regard, their releases are observed with a lot of interest and the movies are scrutinized in detail. After a gap, for this Sankranthi both Nandamuri Balakrishna and Megastar Chiranjeevi are arriving with their big films.
Balakrishna’s Veerasimha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veeriah are clashing during the festival season in January 2023. However, there is one observation which film goers are making about Chiru. In his film Godfather, Salman Khan played a guest role while Ram Charan played an extended cameo in Acharya. Now it is the turn of Ravi Teja who is playing an important role in Waltair Veeriah.
Usually, Chiru is not much into the trend of multi starrer movies. There is already a fan war going on between the fans of Balayya and Chiranjeevi. What’s disappointing some of his fans is the act of taking another actor in every film these days while Balayya is handling his projects singlehandedly. Even in the upcoming release, the trailer shows more prominence for Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja.
If it’s a hit or flop, it will still be in Balayya’s kitty whereas a hit credit for Chiru will have to be shared with the other hero as well. Many feel whether Chiru is not confident enough that he is roping in another star in every film and whether such an additional role is really required. Fans of Balayya are very happy at the trailer and are awaiting the film release. Chiru’s fans in the meantime hope that the trend of additional actors for his films will end soon.
They want Chiru in solo hero roles because they feel it will bring out the actual potential of their megastar who has always been a top hero with record hits. They feel Chiru should create his magic on his own and shouldn’t depend anymore on other current heroes. They want Chiru to end the additional padding and take up exciting new roles, since he has a loyal fan base who are out there to relish and cherish his mass entertainers.
