The other day, there was a big agitation amongst the Telugu community on social media after social media reports broke out that 17 year old intermediate-studying girl named Bhavya Sri was raped and murdered in Venugopalapuram of Chittoor district.
The incident became a burning topic in no time and everyone started to speak about the same. However, Chittoor police have now issued a clarification on the incident and here's what they have to say about the same.
"We are verifying the facts that are to be established in this incident which has claimed the life of a teenage girl. A details investigation is underway and more details will be unearthed." The media statement from Chittoor police stated.
"No evidence was found that the girl was raped, shaved and tortured to death. We have detained the four suspects in this case and are investigating all aspects. Legal action will be taken against those who post false news and posts without knowing the facts" the statement further added.
