A government job aspirant from Warangal was found dead in a girls' hostel in Hyderabad's Ashok Nagar on Friday evening. Pravallika died by suicide. For more than 12 hours, flash protests led by government job aspirants rocked the area after media reports stated that Pravallika killed herself because she was distressed about the postponement of GROUP 2 and the cancelation of two GROUP 1 exams by the TSPSC.
However, as per the Chikkadpally police, the 25-year-old girl died by suicide after her boyfriend dumped her. Her boyfriend, who is yet to be named, had conveyed to her about his plans to marry someone else.
The police made the statement depending on the girl's WhatsApp exchanges with her estranged boyfriend.
The BJP and the Congress had blamed the KCR government for postponing and canceling government exams. But now, the twist blunts their political campaign. The police department is planning to interrogate those who have led the flash protests.
