There are multiple social media reports now that Telugu Desam Party high command has decided to skip the coming elections in Telangana. There are reports that Telangana TDP wing conveyed the same to the local leadership.
Apparently, Lokesh has decided that it is wise to skip the coming polls in Telangana in view of the current situation in the Telugu states and remaining non-contesting is the better option for them.
Well, this really is a good move from the Telangana TDP wing as contesting in the Telangana polls, where the party is already weak and then ending up in humiliating situation would further dent the party in AP polls.
TDP is already facing existential crisis in AP after the arrest of CBN and the subsequent set of incidents. And in this context, if the party gets embarrassed in the Telangana elections, it would do a world of bad. So, if TDP has actually decided to skip the Telangana polls, it would be the optimal scenario for the party.
