Back in the day, Lagadapati Rajagopal was a big deal in Andhra Pradesh. He basked in the glory created by YS Rajasekhar Reddy and was an important member of his bastion. He had the knack of holding on-point surveys which had a lot of credibility in Andhra Pradesh.
However, cut to now, following the onset of the Jagan wave in Andhra Pradesh politics, Lagadapati has turned irrelevant. He has event left the state and has been staying in Hyderabad.
But the latest news is that Lagadapati is making a comeback into Andhra Pradesh politics as he is apparently looking to turn busy in AP political climate again. There are reports that he could be joining some political party soon.
In the last election, Lagadapati contested as Vijayawada MP and lost big time. If he wants to join TDP this time, things look bleak as the party already has Kesineni Nani as the candidate for the constituency.
As for YCP, Jagan will be least bothered about taking Lagadapati's services, given that the latter had openly tried to hurt Jagan's prospects right from the day he left Congress.
And as for JanaSena and BJP, these parties are nearly worthless in the parliamentary elections. This makes Lagadapati almost irrelevant for any political party in Andhra Pradesh. So, simply put, his political re-entry is good for nothing in the current atmosphere.
